Credits cost $0.50 each and never expire, so unused ones are not lost. Every song counts as 1 credit; a track over 10 minutes counts as 2. Pro is capped at 100 songs a month.

A credit is a balance, not stored audio. The result of every song you unlock (chords, lyrics, key, BPM) is kept in My songs until you delete your account. The audio you sent is deleted within 24 hours of analysis.
In detail
How the trial runs, what one song costs, what happens when you cancel and who handles the payment.
The Pro free trial lasts 7 days and costs $0 today. You add a card to start it so that Paddle can take the first $9.99 on day 7, and you can cancel before then without paying anything.
During the trial you can unlock up to 15 songs in total, counted by the same rule as a paid month. If you cancel in the first week you keep Pro until the trial ends and no money is taken. If you do nothing, Pro renews every month at $9.99 until you cancel. Each account gets one trial.
One song is one track you analyse and unlock, either an uploaded file or a YouTube link. A track up to 10 minutes costs 1 credit and a longer one costs 2, and the same rule counts against the 100-song Pro allowance. Only the unlock costs anything: the first 60 seconds of chords are always free.
You can cancel Pro in one click from your account. Cancelling stops the next charge, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that the account goes back to Free: every song you unlocked stays in My songs and any credits you hold are still yours.
Pro covers up to 100 songs a month. If you reach the limit, your credits still work: an unlock spends a credit instead, and when you have none the paywall offers a pack. If you were billed in error or something went wrong, read the Refund Policy and contact us.
Checkout runs on Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle takes the payment, handles VAT and issues the receipt, and your card details go to Paddle, never to Chord Detector. At checkout Paddle shows the payment methods available for your country. If you want to see the plans again before you decide, the plan cards are one scroll up.
